Tamale, Ghana – The Africa Faith and Justice Network (AFJN) Ghana continues to make significant strides in promoting education and empowering vulnerable children and young people through advocacy and community development initiatives.
Through the dedicated advocacy efforts of our network, a basic school at Kuli in Tamale has benefited from major infrastructural development provided by the Government of Ghana. This intervention has created a more conducive learning environment for pupils and strengthened access to quality education in the community.
In another major achievement, the school has been enrolled in the National School Feeding Programme. The introduction of the feeding programme has significantly improved pupil attendance and retention, ensuring that more children remain in school and are better positioned to succeed academically.
AFJN Ghana is also celebrating the remarkable progress of our Girls’ Clubs operating in six communities across Tamale. The clubs continue to empower girls with leadership skills, confidence, and knowledge to make informed decisions about their future. To further encourage teamwork, unity, and healthy competition among the girls, AFJN Ghana is planning to organize a gala football competition involving all six communities.
As part of its commitment to building the capacities of young girls, AFJN Ghana has facilitated a two-month painting skills training programme for selected girls at Nkoranza in the Bono East Region. The training will equip participants with practical technical skills, enhance their creativity, and contribute to their economic empowerment.
These achievements reflect AFJN Ghana’s unwavering commitment to advocating for social justice, promoting quality education, and creating opportunities that enable girls and young people to reach their full potential.
