On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at the Catholic Pastoral Centre in Tamale, the Africa Faith and Justice Network–Ghana (AFJN–Ghana) convened a one‑day Stakeholders Policy Briefing under the theme: “Together We Can End Early and Child Marriage and Domestic Servitude.”

As part of the advocacy efforts, AFJN–Ghana conducted an interview with Mr. Alhassan Atik Alhassan, the Assistant Regional Chief Imam of the Northern Region. He shared insightful perspectives on the causes and consequences of early child marriage, as well as measures that can be taken to eradicate the practice.

The briefing forms part of AFJN–Ghana’s ongoing campaign to raise awareness and mobilize stakeholders in the fight against injustice, with a strong emphasis on protecting children and promoting dignity across Ghana.
